The 1833 Society
Established
in 1987, the 1833 Society is the leadership giving society of the Kalamazoo
College Fund. It is comprised of a dedicated group of alumni,
parents and friends of the College who have an affinity to give
and a drive to profoundly impact students' lives.
Annual gifts of $1000 or more ensure your place in the 1833 Society. You are welcome to spread your payments throughout the year, or to use your matching gift dollars from your employer to become part of the 1833 Society. However, all gifts must be received by the College within the fiscal year, July 1-June 30.
Your gifts at the leadership level account for 70% of the total annual fund. As a leadership giver, you can still direct your gift to one of the three areas of critical need within the College, including scholarships, faculty and teaching resources, and K's greatest needs. No matter how you direct your unrestricted gift, you are helping to make excellence at Kalamazoo College possible.
Members of the 1833 Society and Setson Society are invited to a wine and cheese reception with the President in her home on Saturday afternoon of Homecoming Weekend. All members of the 1833 Society and Stetson Society are invited to the Annual BACH Christmas Concert and holiday buffet at the home of the president. However,
the greatest benefit is the knowledge that your leadership gift
reaches so many students and provides the resources and opportunities
that make Kalamazoo College unique.
