.: Programming Project 4
Creating Your Own Animation :..
| In this fourth and final programming project, I made a collage along with a classmate, Christie Schuessler. In this project, we designed an animation called 'Game Over.' In this animation, a hand moves to the power button on a computer screen to turn it on, it loads (showing a loading screen followed by the project title), and transfers to the opening screen of a Pacman game. From there a mouse icon 'clicks' to start the game; this is followed by three stages where Pacman dies. Finally there are the credits, which include information such as which one of us did each part of the project, and the title screen again -- 'Game Over.' |
| This was hands down the most difficult project of the quarter. Each animation was first completed without an array. Christie did a great deal of that structure, and I then would modify the parts to create the arrays. Sound manipulation took little time, but the proper placement of sound into the animation was rather difficult, as some sounds needed to be a bit longer, while others were far, far too long. Picture manipulation was a bit tricky during the Pacman stages, as we attempted to stay withing the preexisting black lines. The functions for moving boxes, which we used several weeks ago in a mini-lab, were invaluable for this work, and imagine both of us could write for loops and arrays in our sleep by now. It was however, amazingly fun, and I'm rather sorry to have finished. Goodbye, Comp 107, and good luck next year~! |
