Kalamazoo College ranks in the top 2 percent of all U.S. colleges and universities surveyed by the National Science Foundation for the proportion of graduates ultimately earning research doctorates. 

We outperform many prominent schools due to how well the K-Plan prepares our students for graduate-level success. Through personalized mentorship and faculty guidance, excellent academics in small classes, a flexible curriculum, and the Senior Integrated Project, K students gain a well-rounded education that promotes independent scholarship. 

As a result, Kalamazoo College is ranked among the top 50 private liberal arts colleges and the top 5% of all U.S. colleges and universities surveyed for the proportion of graduates who ultimately earn a research doctorate in the following fields:
